Southend Dance Centre was established in 1994 and currently uses 2 studios, one in Leigh on Sea, and one in Hockley, both in Essex.

SDC specialises in Ballroom & Latin American Dancing.

Brett & Sally Vernon are the principles of SDC, and even though they are 35 & 32 respectively, have over 50 years of dancing experience between them. Having competed for most of their lives, Brett and Sally continued their competitions as Professionals, gaining many accolades, including the following;

Essex Professional Latin American Champions
North East of England Professional Latin American Champions
Finalists in the UK Closed Professional Latin American Championships
Finalists in The Hong Kong Open Professional Latin American Championships
Semi Finalists in the British Closed Professional Latin American Championships

Southend Dance Centre and its pupils have also won hundreds of medals and trophies at various competitions across the country gaining an excellent reputation in the dancing world.
